Installing and Downloading New Free TrueType fonts on Windows XP

Download and search for the Font you want for FREE from 1001fonts.com then come back to this window and follow the tutorial on how to install the new font so it is ready to use.

All of the fonts found on 1001fonts.com are packaged in ZIP-archives. Before installing a font, you must extract the font from the the ZIP-archive to your desktop. Please remember where you extracted everything, because you will need to locate this place in the next step and you will most likely want to clean up after all the installing is done by deleting the files after installing.

To add a new font to your computer:

From the 'Start' menu select 'Control Panel', then select the 'Appearance and Themes' category.

Select 'Fonts' from the 'See Also' panel at the left of this screen.

On the 'File' menu, select 'Install New Font...'

Click the drive and folder that contain the unzipped fonts you want to add, to select more than one font to add, press and hold down the CTRL key, click the fonts you want, then click on 'OK'.

Your font should now be installed and available to all applications using fonts, such as MS Word, PhotoShop etc.
